1st Junior High School of Oraiokastro became a member of the European eTwinning group which is the community of schools of Europe, Through a secure platform, participants will communicate, collaborate, develop projects and share ideas on specific actions using ICT (Information and Communication Technologies).
A National eTwinning Project entitled “We Do Care as Europeans (WdCasEs)” was designed and will be implemented during the second quarter of the 2020-2021 school year. The action takes place in collaboration with IES MIGUEL DE MOLINOS, a secondary school in Zaragossa, Northern Spain, and aims to raise students’ awareness of cultural and environmental issues. Through the study of various monuments of the Ancient and Medieval Byzantine periods of the two cities, students will compare the respective historical periods and exchange good educational practices related to activities that focus on the sustainability, preservation and promotion of these monuments.
The coordinating teacher is Mrs. Hariklea Tzatzou, English Literature and the pedagogical team consists of: Georgios Arvanitidis, Agronomist and Director of the school, Cornelia Ioannidou, Theologian, Vasilios Politis, Sociologist, Magdalene Tilkeridou, German Literature and Konstantinos Muratidis, Informatics.
The program involves 38 students from the 1st Class and 21 from the 2nd Class.
